David and Cynthia’s story began with God ✝️. They met through their ministry 🙏 and gradually got to know each other. Cynthia lived in Selma 🚗, a three-hour drive from the ministry, and David quickly realized he’d need to go the extra mile—literally—to see her. With determination, he showed up and asked her on a date... although Cynthia didn’t realize it was a date 😅 (dum, dum, dum!).

Despite this initial mix-up, David wasn’t discouraged for long. He discovered Cynthia would be helping at another retreat directed by a dear friend 🫶. Through their shared service, they kept crossing paths and grew closer 💞.

Two months of daily phone calls ☎️ and countless encounters later, David officially asked Cynthia to be his girlfriend ❤️. Though over 218 miles separated them 🚙, they continued to serve together, deepened their relationship, and embraced the beauty of God’s plans for them ✨.

June 3, 2023: David and Cynthia talk for the first time 👋.

June 30, 2023: First date at Magosh Brewery 🍻.

July 12, 2023: David declares his intentions to pursue Cynthia at the Purple Orchid 🍹💜🌸.

July 23, 2023: First kiss at Eucalyptus Trail 🥰🌳.

July 29, 2023: David asks Cynthia to be his girlfriend ❤️.

July 30, 2023: First date as a couple: Church in South Pasadena ⛪ and a whole day at the OC Fair 🎡.

August 4, 2023: Cynthia meets some of David’s family 👨‍👩‍👧.

August 7, 2023: David and Cynthia tell each other that they love one another at Yosemite National Park 🌲❤️ and David meets her family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦.

December 15, 2023: First concert together: Depeche Mode 🎶. Also, their first fight—Cynthia turns up reggaeton 🎧, getting David 😤, and David learns not to provoke her 😜.

January 1, 2024: First New Year’s celebration together 🎆.

January 2, 2024: David and Cynthia begin praying the daily Rosary 📿 and start a 90-day Marian Consecration 💕.

April 21, 2024: First LA Galaxy game together ⚽.

May 6, 2024: David and Cynthia consecrate themselves to Jesus through Mary ✝️🌹.

May 11, 2024: Attend the Cruel World concert together 🎤🎸.

August 2, 2024: David meets Cynthia’s extended family 👵👴👨‍👩‍👧‍👦.

After countless road trips 🚙 across California, dozens of oil changes 🛠️, and visits to 22 different Catholic churches ⛪, David finally proposed 💍.

August 12, 2024: David proposes to Cynthia at Engagement Rock in Tehachapi, CA 🪨❤️.

David and Cynthia are both excited to have all of their family and friends gathered together under one roof to share in the joy, fun, and celebration of this special day 🎉❤️. Each of you has been a meaningful part of their lives, and they are truly grateful to God 🙏 for blessing them with such wonderful people to support and love them 💕. They feel incredibly blessed to have you all be a part of their marriage 💍 and can’t wait to start this next chapter surrounded by all of you 🌟.
